Electric vehicles emit zero emissions in circulation. They can therefore effectively measure air pollution while driving! Since May 2017, nearly 300 electric vehicles analyze permanently and precisely the presence of very fine particles PM 2.5 in the Parisian air. Valuable data for the authorities since, depending on the concentration rates observed, concrete actions are triggered to reduce their presence in the territory concerned. This may involve the temporary lowering of speed limits or even the implementation of differentiated circulation. « The Pollutrack experiment was born from a meeting between the management of Enedis Paris and the services of the city of Paris. This goes beyond Enedis' usual mission but is part of the desire to act for mobility specific to through concrete actions” says Dominique Bertin, electric mobility manager at Enedis Paris.
